چکیده

Aims: To characterize the development, yield, and morphological characteristics of ‘Red torch’ ‘Pink cultivars torch ginger cultivated in Brazilian Cerrado.
Study design: The experiment was performed using two (‘Red torch’) with three replications clumps per plot.
Place Duration Study: Germplasm Active Bank Ornamental Tropical Plants State University Mato Grosso (14°08′38′′S, 57°03′45′′W; altitude 488 m), Brazil, from August 2015 to July 2018.
Methodology: At monthly intervals during first 10 months after planting, we assessed clump based on measurement area occupied by clump, number tillers emerging clump. yield hectare estimated 2016 2018. During this period, average floral stems produced determined, were characterized second year, for stem length, diameter, inflorescence fresh mass. Evaluations measurements obtained clump.
Results: First-year expansion rates 'Red torch' 'Pink 4.00 7.90 cm2, respectively. presented a higher tiller emergence than torch', consequently productivity. commercial standard year growth, lengths diameters greater 60.00 cm 10.00 mm, In study, found that showed high yields produce inflorescences suitable commercialization.
Conclusion: basis can conclude cultivation Cerrado would be viable.
